MUSUB offers counselling and therapy on the topic of addiction and associated problems for affected persons and relatives with a migration background in their native language. The counselling is for women, men, couples, significant others, families and adolescents. Our counselling team consists of professionals with a background in psychology or social work. Our transcultural approach to counselling and therapy is systemic, solution- and resource-oriented. Our aim is to work out solutions together with you. Your individual life situation is of most importance to us!
Does your consumer behavior lead to tensions in your relationship or at the workplace? Do you want to change that, but don't know how? We will support you.
Do you worry about the consumer behavior of someone close to you? Do you want to help but feel hesitant? Together, we'll take the first step.
Nothing. During your first consultiation we will figure out the necessary and sensible steps together.
By agreement, discussions can also be held in the late afternoon or in the evening after office hours.
We are bound by statutory confidentiality. We offer discreet and confidential support. If you wish, we can help mediate conflicts in the workplace. In some cases it makes sense to work with the employer to find a solution. This is especially true when the job is endangered by the effects of the addiction disorder.
The Blue Cross and the Multicultural Addiction Counselling Centre (MUSUB) offer confidential and free counselling in 11 languages to people from the cantons of Baselland and Basel-Stadt for all questions regarding alcohol, drugs, medication or behavioural addictions as well as psychosocial problems. All counsellors are specialists in addiction issues.
All employees of the Blue Cross / MUSUB offices are bound by professional confidentiality. Information is only passed on to third parties (social insurances, authorities, employers, relatives, etc.) with your express consent. For quality assurance purposes, the counsellors can exchange confidential information about the course of treatment in intervision/supervision meetings. We keep a written record of the counselling process. You can view this file at any time upon request.
Our counselling services are free of charge for residents / professionals in the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Baselland. For group and course offers we charge a small contribution towards expenses.
If you are unclear or irritated, please contact your counsellor at the specialist unit. If you need further clarification, please contact our manager, Mrs. Mylius (mylius@mituns.ch).
